Week 45

Playing in her diaper box

Alex fell asleep like this on Sunday night
Week 45 Updates:
1. ALEX IS CRAWLING!!! Alex learned forward momentum this past Sunday and on Monday she did her first couple of crawls while on her knees. She still prefers to roll or army crawl (boy is she fast), but when Gir is either eating or drinking, she crawls towards him like she's a pro. I think that she'll be majorly crawling in the next couple of weeks.
2. We celebrated Memorial Day with a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Prusso's house. It was a lot of fun and Alex was quite entertaining.
3. She now enjoys baby yogurt, granola bars (Gerber), muffins, and BBQ chicken.
4. She is starting to play better (not as much poking) with other babies during our play dates.
5. She is still quite a talker and loves telling everyone interesting stories.
6. She falls asleep while sitting up in her crib (picture above) which is probably not the best for her but usually quite a surprise when Mommy and Daddy check on her.

Week 44

Week 44 Updates:
1. Alex is 10 months old!! Holy cow!
2. As pictured above, she loves to feed herself completely now. She can hold up her bottles but she has a hard time figuring out how to eat when she is sitting up. She is even starting to drink water and not hate it! It probably helps that her favorite water bottle is pretty close to her normal bottle.
3. Her sleeping schedule is changing a little bit again. She has been going to bed closer to 8:00pm and getting up around 6:00am with a nap from 11:00-2:00.
4. She loves exploring the house and pulling everything off shelves! I guess its about time for me to child proof the house...She is also getting good at rolling really fast across the room (especially on the carpet upstairs).
5. She really likes being in the kitchen with me as I am cooking. She is such a cute helper!

10 Months Old!

My Little Alexandria is 10 Months Old!
I can't believe it! Right now she is a feisty little girl who loves rolling around and exploring the house. She loves, loves, LOVES Gir dog and is so happy whenever he is around. She is getting more used to hanging out with other babies since I have been trying to have more play dates with neighborhood babies (and their Mommy's of course) so that we can both socialize. Her favorite food right now are Avocado's and her cheese puffs. She also enjoys taking baths and snuggling with Daddy when she's tired. She is our not super little bundle of joy and we are head-over-heels in love with her. I can't believe that in only 2 short months, she will be celebrating her first birthday. Time flies too fast!

Week 43

Our newest puppy :)

How our photo sessions really go
Week 43 Updates:
1. Alex tried to climb up our coffee table the other day so that she could try and get a hold of  our Wii remote. It didn't work and she ended up falling backwards and bonking her head on the floor. Poor Alex!
2. She is doing pretty well feeding herself. She has had pears (didn't care for them too much), Macaroni and Cheese, Pancakes, Rice Patties, Pasta, Mashed Potatoes, Ice Cream, Peanut Butter, Bread, Cheese, Tortillas, Avocados (which she really seems to like), Corn Bread (that was really messy), Top Ramen, Scrambled Eggs, Diet Coke (Grandpa Prusso gave her some but she wasn't quite sure of what to think about it), and more that I can't think of right now. Quite a bit still goes to Gir, but I think that she is doing pretty well and she seems to enjoy feeding herself.
3. We celebrated Mother's Day for the first time with Alex and we were able to Skype with Grandma and Grandpa Miller as well as Lorie and Evette! We had a blast and hopefully we can try it again soon.
4. Alex has started to do this strange thing where she' ll fold one foot under her body while she is on her knees. It looks rather painful to me, but it doesn't seem to bother her. Oh to be flexible.
5. Alex is becoming a pro at sitting up when she's on her stomach and now she can get from sitting to on her stomach without too much fuss.
6. She is such a busy girl and she can sure get around the house a whole lot faster than I realize.

Week 42

Week 42 Updates:
1. Alex the explorer. Even though she still can't crawl or move forward, Alex loves exploring the house and she finds ways to get around. Yesterday I found her "exploring" the underside of her baby swing and was having a ball playing with the wires (picture above). Luckily, Mom was there to untangle her before she got hurt.
2. Alex has figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up. I'm not quite sure how she does it yet because I've never caught her in action, but i'll put her on her tummy and when I turn around, she is sitting on her bum.
3. I think that Alex is trying to gain some muscles because when she scoots over to our bar-stools, she has been doing little baby chin ups. It is hilarious! She will move her arms and her torso but keep her head on the floor.
4. Alex had her first sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa Prusso this past weekend. It was Mommy and Daddy's Anniversary so, Alex got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa from Saturday morning to Sunday morning. I think that Alex had a lot of fun hanging out with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Brett plus she got to meet some new family members! What a busy girl!!

Week 41

Week 41 Updates:
1. Alex has started eating big girl food and so far she has tried: scrambled eggs, bananas, bread, cheese, tortillas, a french fry, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. I think that she has liked the bread most of all so far, she must be related to me somehow. :)
2. When she sits, she is now turning around in circles. I sure hope that she hasn't learned this from the dogs.
3. She has started waving to people, but only rarely, so this may be a new trick that she is mastering.
4. We got a fish tank last week and even though we don't have any fish in it yet, she loves looking at it.
5. She has been working at making G and S sounds.
