Week 31

Week 31 Update:
1. Alex loves to TALK!! She is constantly talking and making the funniest noises. She is really working on B sounds and making "baaa" noises. It is so stinkin' cute!!
2. When she is playing in her bouncer, she is learning to swivel the chair around all by herself so that she can play with different sides of the bouncer.
3. She turned 7 months old!!!
4. She has started eating her baby food twice a day now, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. She is eating really well in the morning, but hasn't yet caught onto the afternoon feeding.
5. She is getting to be so strong! She is lifting all of her toys, even some of her heavier toys like her rolley noise machine that she got from Grandma and Grandpa Miller for Christmas. I'm super impressed!!
6. She now knows her name and will respond to it most of the time.
7. She hasn't started crawling yet, but when she is on her tummy (still not her favorite place to be) she will scoot backwards.
8. She is still doing really well sitting up and is a champ at reaching for her toys!
9. When we went out to a restaurant this week, we put Alex in a booster seat for the first time and she really enjoyed it. We had to put blankets around her because she is still a little small for them, but she had no problem sitting up in it!
10. She sat in her stroller without her car seat for the first time and I think that she enjoyed it (although I probably bundled her up a little too much).

Seven Months!!!

Little Alex is 7  months old today! She is such a joy in our lives and we can't imagine our life without her. Every day is an adventure with her and she definitely keeps us on our toes. She is growing and changing so fast! I can't imagine how she is going to develop this month and what new things she'll be able to do. I can't wait!!

Week 30

Week 30 Updates:
1. Alex celebrated her first Valentine's Day!
2. She is getting pretty good at eating her baby food and is eating more and more.
3. She loves other babies! When she's around other babies, she tries to grab their hands and she just stares at them. So cute!
4. She is getting really good at reaching for and picking up her toys/objects around her. We have to be careful with what we put around her so that she doesn't pick up the wrong objects.
5. She is trying to figure out how to pet Gir, but she mostly grabs his hair which he is not too fond of so, he usually walks away from her.
6. She is getting strong in her upper body and she moves around in little circles when she's on her tummy (which she still hates).

Alex's First Valentine's Day

Alex was so excited to celebrate Valentines Day that she decided to eat her foot! She got a new onesie and a new toy this morning for Valentine's Day and she'll get to spend the day with Mom and Gir Dog and Dad when he gets home from work! What an exciting day!! Happy Valentine's Day from Alex!

Week 29

Week 29 Updates:
1. Alex amazes me everyday. She is becoming more and more aware of her surroundings and she is even starting to respond to her name!
2. She is learning to differentiate between her toys and picking a specific one to play with. Right now, her favorite toys are her Sophie Giraffe and her pacifier. While Alex is playing, she will find her pacifier and put it in her mouth and then keeps on playing.
3. Alex has been trying some Yogurt melt-aways and cereal puffs. Right now, she likes the puffs better and she will try and gum them when we give them to her. So cute!
4. She made some new friends when Mommy's friend Hannah and her boyfriend Scott came over.

Week 28 Updates

Alex's Updates for week 28:
1.Alex got to meet her Uncle Thomas for the first time. They were instant Best Buds!
2. She is doing much, much better with her baby food this week! She has been opening her mouth and waiting to be fed instead of me trying to make her laugh so that I can hurry and put the spoon in her mouth. I am so happy that she seems to like her apple/banana/strawberry food, hopefully this trend will continue!
3. Alex got to Skype with Grandma and Grandpa Miller which was a lot of fun!
4. Alex is starting to get too long for her 6 month clothes! It looks like i'll have to try her in her 9 month stuff!
5. She went to her first Livermore party and had fun meeting a new friend...and his toys!
6. She is really good at putting her pacifier in her mouth all by herself! She does it all day long.
7. She loves music! Anytime someone sings to her, she lights up and is all smiles. It's so cute!!!
